Privacy-First Mileage Logging
A Mileage Tracker Without Background GPS
If you want mileage records without an app silently mapping your entire day, odostrada takes a more deliberate approach.
How it works
odostrada uses odometer anchors instead of continuous route tracking. You capture or enter an odometer reading when you arrive, and the next anchor calculates the exact trip distance between those two points.
Location can be requested at that moment to help with context and saved places, but the app is not built to run an all-day background trace.
Why some drivers prefer it
No always-on GPS session. No battery-heavy route logging. No quiet surveillance layer sitting behind your workday.
You still get structured mileage records, business-purpose tagging, location context, and exports, but with a workflow that stays intentional instead of passive.
What "without background GPS" actually means
It does not mean the app is missing core recordkeeping fields. It means odostrada is designed around the details that matter for a clean mileage log: date, distance, location context, and business purpose.
For self-employed drivers who care about privacy, battery life, and staying in control of their own records, that tradeoff can make more sense than full automatic route surveillance.
A calmer mileage workflow
odostrada is for people who want usable records, not an all-day location history.
